BECE Results Expected by July 31 – Haruna Iddrisu

The 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results are expected to be released by July 31, according to Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu.

The minister disclosed that the marking and processing of this year's examination scripts are progressing steadily, with the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) working to ensure the results are released on schedule.

Haruna Iddrisu assured candidates, parents, and guardians that every effort is being made to complete the process accurately and transparently to maintain the credibility of the examination system.

The anticipated release of the results will pave the way for the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), which will place successful candidates into Senior High Schools (SHSs), Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, and other second-cycle schools across the country.

Thousands of candidates who sat for this year's BECE are eagerly awaiting their results as they prepare for the next stage of their academic journey.

Education stakeholders have encouraged students to remain calm while awaiting the official release and to rely only on verified information from WAEC and the Ministry of Education to avoid misinformation.

Once the results are published, candidates will be able to check their performance using the official WAEC results-checking platform with a valid results checker card or PIN.

The Ministry of Education has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth transition from junior high school to senior high school through a transparent and efficient placement process.
